What is softball??

Softball is a game between two nine player teams played usually for seven innings on a diamond-shaped field with a home plate and three other bases, 60 feet (18.29 meters) apart, forming a circuit that must be completed by a base runner in order to score a run, the central offensive action entailing the hitting of a pitched ball with a metal bat and running of the bases, the winner being the team scoring the most runs.

Fastpitch is the competitive version of the popular sport of softball, which is played mostly by women all around the globe. In fastpitch softball, the pitcher’s arm rotates 360 degrees around the shoulder until the ball is released as an underhanded motion at the hip.
